Welcome

NAFU was formed in the early eighties as an agricultural committee of the NAFCOC and officially launched at Thaba'Nchu in the Free State Province in 1991.The formation of NAFU by NAFCOC was necessitated by the existing disparities in terms of access to land, financial resources, development opportunities, support services and critical agricultural skills amongst black farmers.

Over the years, NAFU SA has grown into a force to be reckoned nationally with a lot of branches from the village to national level. NAFU SA has in line with the NAFCOC's vision 2014 successfully organised itself commodities from the local and villages districts, provincial and national level, however a lot still needs to be done in this area.

The National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry, NAFCOC as popularly known, has Agreed with National African Farmers Union (Nafu) about creating an Agri Business Chamber to focus purely on the Business side of Nafu.
